I see the light!

We actually have floor space…who would have thought it!  We moved a bit of furniture out to a friends place today as well as the 10 or so boxes of clutter!  It is amazing how much more space we now have. I’ve had to drastically cull my scrapping collection to just a few plastic containers and a handfull of papers!  That was hard!  So i plan on just getting some kits to get me through this time!  (Still gotta have some me time and scrap!)

Tomorrow i hope to get into the kids rooms and do some tidying up and boxing up toys etc.  Also need to move alot of the hand me downs for Emma into some boxes!

I decided to get a bit domesticated tonight and make some bread that i’ll bake in the morning (well it was that or go hungry!)  Might even try and make a yummy slice tomorrow and try and do a date loaf…LOVE date loaf!  Need to do a bit of cooking for Cayden and Darren’s lunches!

Well, i might go and collapse myself into bed now…need some sleep!

Arghhhh…..

I hate house work!  I’m absolutely knackered!!!  Monday saw Mum helping out with the spring clean.  I so hate cleaning windows… and we have far too many windows in our place!  Bathrooms clean (i don’t think it’s ever been quite so sparkling!), the cobwebs are gone, counter tops cleaned, laundry is almost finished and the clothes are almost all washed!  Today the carpets were steamed cleaned… and boy did they need it.  So now we have a sparkling clean floor, damp, but clean.  Any idea how hard it is to keep two active kids off damp carpet?!

Just need to do some more boxing of stuff and clearing out some cupboards and that should be the end of the packing for a little while.  Saturday afternoon we do some moving of furniture to a friends place and that will see the de-clutter finished…YAY!  Then we need to get the kitchen bench top replaced and then we are right for photos, then the house is offically on the market!

It’s time…

To sell our house!  We’ve decided to put our house on the market now so that we can stop guessing where the market is going!

So now we’ve got the big clean up and clean out and de-clutter happening!  So if I’m not around that is why!

Some “ME” Time

With the weekend i’ve had, i thought it was time for some “me” creative time;

    

What a shocker of a weekend!

Oh i am so over the kids being sick!  Cayden brings it home and it spreads through the rest of the family.  Emma has had a cold all weekend with a high temp, very lethargic and just wanted to be on Darren or myself ALL day!  It’s been a hard one!  She seems on the mend today, hopefully it will get better from now on.

Curriculum Day tomorrow for Cayden and then school photos on Wednesday, might even get his hair cut tomorrow if Emma is up for a walk tomorrow.

Now…for a bit of catch up;  We’ve recently learnt that the land for our house has been delayed AGAIN!  Looks like we won’t be able to settle until November, so i would say we probably won’t start the building process until Feb next year, which will put us in the house about August.  Here’s hoping that we can settle earlier!  At least we can see where our block is now…it has been pegged out and has the lot number on it!  It currently has a large mound of dirt and a large tractor tyre on it!

Cayden has started Mini Gators (Basketball) which he is really enjoying and has finished Auskick – much to his dismay!  I think he’ll be doing Auskick next year, judging by his enthusiasm!
